Kick off a weekend of female fun you’ll never forget while you meet the other women you’ll be spending the weekend with when you register at the Georgian Triangle Tourist Association, located at 45 Ste. Paul Street. You will be greeted by friendly, knowledgeable staff and volunteers who will help you plan your weekend and answer your questions about not only the event but also the region. When you arrive, you will receive our Girlfriends' Getaway Weekend swag bag chock full of everything you will need to enjoy your weekend Girlfriends' Getaway Weekend including an ID / event bracelet. Your bracelet is required to attend all events and activities and will give you access to deals galore at shops and restaurants throughout the weekend.

After a great day discovering downtown and dinner, join us at our historical Gayety Theatre (beside the Arts Centre at 163 Hurontario Street) where we will kick-off the weekend in style! Local Wine and Spirits Producers will be on hand to enlighten your taste buds and light snacks will also be available! We will have you dancing through the night with local, live entertainment by the Strange Potatoes…a funny energetic band of musical characters that bring charm and create an infectious good time! Our Downtown Diva’s Fashion Show sets the stage at 8:30 presented by our local downtown merchants. Catch a glimpse of the season’s best styles and fashions…all found in Downtown Collingwood! Your host and emcee for the evening is: Mallory Woodcock, CEO and Founder of With Style Image Consulting out of Kitchener, ON.

There will be something for every lady to enjoy on Saturday…we have LOTS of great offers and special activities planned! The Downtown Collingwood Farmers’ Market will delight you with our local flavours of the season, in the Pine Street parking lot between 8:30 am to 1:00pm.

You can choose to shop, indulge and discover at your own pace and time… OR you and your girlfriends can pre-book one of many ‘Walking Tours’ we have planned for you! We will be your host and guide you on Walking Tours which will speak to every ladies interest.

Featured Downtown Collingwood Walking Tours will run through the day on Saturday, May 25th. There will be two morning tours and two afternoon tours to choose from. The featured tours are Culinary * Fashion * Home Décor * Wellness and are included in your weekend package at no extra charge to you!

Morning Tours Include:

CULINARY TOUR (8:30am-10:30am):
Discover how to create wonderful dishes, learn what foods and spices pair well together…maybe even learn a new trick of the trade? You will even have an opportunity to learn from an expert how to create a sweet or savory dish yourself! This walking tour will take you to our very own Downtown Collingwood Farmers’ Market, then over to our Community Food Co-Op…to watch our chef choose from locally grown products and fresh ingredients then you will watch a demonstration on how to prepare the dish!

FASHION (9:30am – 11:30am):
Ever wonder what a personal shopper does? Join us for this unique fashion tour and enjoy a personal shopping and fashion tour with host, Mallory Woodcock from With Style Image Consulting. Mallory will be your host and speak about new spring trends, what’s hot this season, how to spruce up a wardrobe and other great fashion tips as you tour through our unique fashion stores downtown. There will even be a Grand Prize Draw at the end of the walking tour for a $100 gift card from With Style Image Consulting.

BEAUTY, HEALTH AND WELLNESS(1:30pm – 3:30pm):
Do you love to be pampered or want to learn more about the benefits of alternative health and wellness options available today? Let our local expert Dr. Melissa Longo, family Chiropractor and host of Good Living, Good Health on Rogers TV guide you through a whole body experience from the benefits of nutrition, fitness stress reduction, detoxification and lifestyle change. Known for her passion and enthusiasm about health and wellness, she's committed to helping people live healthier lives and taking steps to make change.

HOME DECOR (2 :00pm – 4:00pm)
Learn about the newest spring styles and trends or even how to spruce up your current home with our Downtown Collingwood Home Décor tour. Local design expert, Joann Bowden will be your host for this walking tour. Joann will begin her tour at Farrow Arcaro Design (F.A.D.) and from there… take you on a home décor journey through our downtown shops and maybe even share a few of her secrets with you! FAD will be hosting a wine and cheese after the tour.

Love the arts? Downtown Collingwood is rich in arts and culture with everything from theatre to canvas to glass to one-of-a-kind jewellery. Take a sneak peek behind the scenes of the popular Theatre Collingwood production location; visit a variety of artist studios and discover our many public art projects, such as our Historical panels, murals, art banner and art chairs throughout the downtown.

HISTORIC HOMES:
Collingwood is rich in heritage and architecturally interesting buildings. This Tour is presented by the Collingwood and District Historical Society and has limited space! Tour some of Collingwood’s most interesting homes and learn about their unique and historical significance in our community. OUTDOOR TRAIL ADVENTURE:
Ready for an adventure? Let the knowledgeable staff at the Georgian Triangle Tourist Association be your host for an outdoor excursion. Our beautiful accessible trails will take you beyond the downtown core as you discover parts of the Georgian Trail! Bring your binoculars – you may even get to see some wildlife along the way!

Be sure to save enough time to refresh… it’s going to be a night to remember!!!

Dinner on the Shores of Georgian Bay 5:00pm (cocktails) – 7:30 pm

Sunset Point - Collingwood

This will be a night to remember… Mix and mingle with your friends under a heated tent and enjoy great food with your closest friends and new ones you’ve just met under the stars, along the shoreline of breathtaking Georgian Bay! Be our guest for this exclusive Girlfriends’ Dinner. Dress code will be casual for this event. Join us for reception and cocktails at 5:00 with dinner being served at 6pm. Dinner will be catered by Men with Knives (http://www.menwithknives.ca) who will inspire your taste buds with their creative and locally inspired menu!
